A Little Bit About Me...

I am graduating from Texas Tech University in August with a B.A. in psychology. I do very well in tutoring math, especially cal, because I struggled with the subject at first, it didn't come natural, and thus I am able to break it down into understandable levels. I really love being able to teach someone something and seeing the Ah-ha moment. I helped a friend in college go from an F to a B in cal.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children; I began early on as a summer camp counselor for the Girl Scouts of America organization. Additionally I baby-sat throughout my undergraduate years and as mentioned child health became my focus during graduate school. I believe that learning is best achieved through tactile experiences that help the individual directly relate to the material being learned. I also believe that learning can be made fun and enjoyable for those willing to take the time to learn the needs of the individual.
I hold a M.A. in medical anthropology as well as a B.A. in cultural anthropology. A Little Bit About Me...

I have coursework in special education and human development and family studies that has prepared me to work with children and families. My volunteer and paid experience as a substitute and child care teacher has allowed me to apply this knowledge directly to working with this group. In addition, I have mentored high school youth in the areas of scholarship and community service. As a freelance grant writer and nonprofit management professional, my reading and writing skills would be invaluable to young children.
