My comments on tutoring Physiology : I have taught both lecture and laboratory sections of Human Anatomy and Physiology at the college level.

The defining characteristic of my teaching method, whether in a classroom or tutoring individual students, is fostering a respectful and comfortable learning environment. I believe that the foundation for this environment is created by establishing small, personal connections with the student. I try to take every opportunity to get to know a student’s’ personal interests. This allows me to choose meaningful examples and metaphors that students will be more likely to understand and remember. It also makes study sessions engaging and conversational which always benefits learning, in my experience. Physiology is one of my top subjects! Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science with concentration on Anatomy and Physiology. Physical Therapy Technician Supervisor in the US Navy.

Accepted to an internship with International Ergonomics Corporation in 1990. Experience in industrial injuries, taught back safety courses, performed Functional Capacity Evaluation, Job Risk Analysis, and Job Placement Testing. Was selected as Physical Therapy Department in the U.S. Navy from 2002 - 2006 were I supervised the treatment and testing of military personnel, and taught back safety/rehab classes and post-surgical class for rehabilitation of the knee. Have substitute taught from 2009 - present for local high school.
My teaching style is very interactive with the student. The student is provided with the skill and information on the subject and then they explain their knowledge and understanding of that subject. This is either done to fellow classmates in a "student teacher" role or to me.
