I firmly believe that a good education must be adaptable, flexible, and incorporate a variety of learning styles if it is to be of maximum benefit to students. When teaching, I speak with my students about the kinds of activities they feel assist them most in retaining information as well as observing their learning style independently. I do my best to include activities that incorporate visual, kinesthetic, and oral learners. School isn’t always fun and interesting; it is called “work” for a reason. I have been teaching English for over 15 years. After I got my BA in Secondary English Education I joined the US Peace Corps. I went to Poland in 1992. I taught at the local high school, the teacher training college and at a nearby hospital. Then I returned to the USA and got my Masters degree in English. I have taught Freshman Composition at the American University of Sharjah in the UAE and I taught at the Intensive English Programs at Colorado State University and at AUS.
