As an MBA graduate I have consistently sought to continually improve and manage as many aspects of life that are presented to me. While achieving my BA in Philosophy I stretched my focus into the areas of science and mathematics, given my strengths in those areas. My MBA in Management facilitated the integration of my math and science skills into a practical system of approach and practice. My Calculus skills come in handy while everyone else is doing summations, I find integrals much faster. In addition to tutoring a variety of subjects from history and philosophy to statistics and calculus, I have also tutored students in English, Latin, writing, Geology, Chemistry, Geography, Biology, and Anthropology.

A Little Bit About Me...

As the child of teachers, I learned the value of a good education early in life. With my parents' guidance and encouragement, I obtained both a BS and a PhD in Chemistry (which included a Study-Abroad stint in the Netherlands). Following my time in Europe, I pursued a 25-year industrial chemistry career that was centered on the automotive, specialty chemical and building material industries. Additional activity in overseas technical transfers and global business has enhanced my communications skills (e.g., university-level funding proposal preparation). Over the past four years, my passion for education has led me to teach and tutor community college students in mathematics, chemistry and other physical sciences. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is very subjective. Each individual learns according to his/her own style. What I find challenging and rewarding is to find that point where it “clicks”. I believe the best way to learn is through experience and discovery. As an example, I can describe the intelligence of an octopus. But until you actually see a video of one opening a jar for a treat, do you truly realize it as a thinking, planning being. I feel that teaching an individual how to use available resources is just as important as the actual subject. Enabling a student to go out and discover the wonders around him/her through research and education is a wonderful thing indeed.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a person who has spent his undergraduate years majoring in Chemistry, with Physics and Math. Thereafter, I switched my major to Biology because I wanted to do Brain Research and to do such research one has to have an interdisciplinary background. Currently, I am a PhD student majoring in Neurosciences. After my undergraduate education, I went to teach in a boarding school. I taught all science courses to students from grade 8 until grade 11. Each of those grades comprised of approximately 30 students. The kids loved me so much that they wanted to hire me for another semester but i had to go to graduate school. I also supervised lab exercise designed for sophomore and junior students at Bowling Green State University.
