A Little Bit About Me...

I have spent several years as a student and tutor at the university level. I am planning to enter medical school in the Fall of 2012 and as such have developed a strong foundation in the sciences throughout my undergraduate education. Although I majored in Biology, my true passion is Chemistry. I spent 2 years on a religious service mission where I became fluent in Spanish. I am fascinated by the ability to communicate with an entirely new group of people. I learned Spanish by being immersed in the culture and have since studied Spanish at the university level in order to understand the "rules" behind speaking the language.

My experience with teaching and tutoring students is two-fold. I have received my BA in English from Liberty University and am in the process of earning a MA from the same institution. As an English student, I have a good working knowledge of grammar and composition, as well as excellent reading and comprehension skills, and I have tutored students in biology and math. I am working as a GSA (Graduate Student Assistant)as I pursue my Masters, and this position has allowed me to cover classes and work with students on a one-on-one basis.
