I have two different teaching styles depending on whether I am in a preschool setting or middle school type setting. I like to do group work when required. This can be practicing simple conversation in the spanish language. I also like to do one on one with those that struggle and need extra help. I like to write examples on the board and do some role play to help the students understand how to respond in Spanish
I have been teaching at UMKC for 3 years. I teach the elementary through second year first semester Spanish. I have learned to advise students on career choices and help them through personal issues. I am currently working on my M.A. in Spanish and will be complete in 2013. I am a GTA at UMKC. I tutored Spanish during my undergrad program up to the intermediate levels. I was a spanish grader for a year during my undergrad work. I tested out of three semesters of spanish and aced the tests (Spanish 110, 120, and 211). I also lived in Spain for two years.
