I am very familiar with grammar; I have made it a point to be grammatically correct in everything I write. I like to make learning an interactive process as I believe students are more likely to retain what they learn when they have an active role in their success of understanding the material. Although I establish that I am the one in charge, I try to create a relaxed environment where the student feels comfortable enough to be open with their struggles, concerns, and questions. I don't give away answers, but am there to help the student realize that they have what it takes to find the answers on their own.
