A Little Bit About Me...
While attending Bates College, I was motivated academically to achieve the best education possible. I sought out teachers who inspired me to work harder and enjoyed participating in chapel services, community service activities and participating in competitive sporting events. During school vacations, I explored jobs that followed my academic strengths. To date, I have earned two degrees, a BA in English from Bates College and a M.Ed. in Curriculum Development from Lesley University. I am certified to teach 6-12 in the state of Florida and 7-12 in Maine, and learned the art of creative nonfiction writing applying this skill later to community news reporting. In addition to writing as a staff and freelance reporter, I have tutored English, the arts, writing, middle school math and marine science
