Teaching is just a love for sharing the quest for knowledge

Laid back. I like to discover with the student, teaching them how to teach themselves in a way. My learning style, and therefore my teaching style, has always been to break a lesson down to its simplest form, and tweaking it to fit various situations. This way, the lesson is easier to remember, like learning to ride a bike.
I am currently a returning student at Arkansas State University, majoring in Computer Science, and minoring in Math and Graphic Design. I previously attended Arkansas Tech University, but withdrew due to financial reasons. In 2005, I became employed at Mid-South Community College, where my duties included helping students with computer questions and issues, as well as tutoring a few students in math. My comments on tutoring Algebra II : I excelled in my studies throughout high school and college; I was a top student in all of my math classes. Although I have not taken a designated Math in recent years, I am willing to refreshen my abilities for the sake of helping the student.

Summer Math Tutor

My teaching style of choice is Demonstrator. I want to allow children to see examples and many different ways to complete a problem. I also would make sure real life application was involved in teaching students.

Algebra II is one of my top subjects!

I spend much of time making the student understand that it is okay to feel behind in a subject and that the student should believe in himself. This belief is built on continued practice on fundamentals that I watch them go through but only ask questions when I see them going astray. Everyone needs to learn the material for his or herself.
