I believe that each and every child is capable of learning. I like to make learning fun and exciting for children by relating what they are learning to the real world. For instance, if I am helping a student learn money value. I might pretend that I am customer purchasing something from the student (cashier). They then have to give me the correct change. I am a very postive and compassionate person that cares deeply about the children I teach. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I then moved to the University of Kansas where I completed a masters in Biochemistry and Biophysics. During this time I was a graduate teaching assistant for two years. I taught science labs including biochemistry I lab (2 semesters), biochemistry II lab (1 semester), and physiology lab (2 semesters). I also assisted in teaching biochemistry lecture. My degrees show that I have a strong background in science but to be a good biochemist you have to understand many different subjects. My course work for these degrees included many biology, chemistry, and math classes (statistics, algebra, calculus).
