I worked in the financial sector for 10 years and have a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance. Getting to know the student and relating thier interests to the material at hand is key to making a connection. I also believe it is critical to remain positive and supportive with students. At some point every student becomes frustrated by material that is challenging to them.
