I am a Teaching All Learners (K-6, K-12 SPED) major with a Minor in English. I love to read and write. Learning is also a passion that I want to share with others. I have also worked for the Y for several years as a Camp Counselor and after school care staff. This fall I will begin my student teaching in order to complete my Degree. Additionally, I have passed the required tests in Reading and General Education for my license.

I completed a BA in English from Union University in 2003. I tutored and proofread for other university students and contributed most of the writing for the yearbook my senior year. I began working in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions upon graduation and have been responsible for editing and revising the recruitment material we mail out each fall. I also worked as a substitute teacher during my time in college. I have not been employed yet just as tutor, but tutoring is a perfect culmination of my skills and love for students. The challenge of teaching is the constant upheaval of technique due to the myriad of personalities and backgrounds which make up the typical classroom.
