I am currently back in the Reading area after completing two years with Teach For America on Chicago's Southside. While there, I taught 9th Grade English/Test Prep and 6th Grade writing, which I loved! Two years ago, I graduated from Barnard College, which is the undergraduate women's college of Columbia University in New York. During my time in New York, I tutored many young children in English/writing and French conversation and grammar.Because of my content area, my tutoring strengths are English, writing, test-prep and grammar work. A Little Bit About Me...

My background experience includes classroom teaching, tutoring, substitute teaching,ESL,Title I,and GED training. My classroom experiences included Pre-K to College students. It also included training nursing staff. In Pennsylvania, I hold undergrad degrees which focus mainly on math, chemistry and language arts. My master's degree was taken in Virginia and it is in psychology. I write and illustrate on a freelance basis. I do occasionally tutor music students at the 500 level. I hold music and nursing degrees taken in NY and France. I am interested in stepping back into a more academic environment.
