I have always been of the opinion that a teachers' job is to inspire students and assist them in becoming the best they can be in life. I am patient and have an innate ability to know what a student needs to learn and how they learn.I believe in a combination of structure, enjoyment and imagination while learning. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati majoring in Civil Engineering. While in school, I had two different tutoring jobs. The first job I had was with Mathnasium now known as Lumen Learning Center in West Chester, Ohio. At this job, I taught first grade through Trigonometry. This gave me the experience of working with groups of students in different grade levels and different learning styles. After this, I worked for the University of Cincinnati’s Center of Access and Transition teaching up to Calculus. I taught freshmen who had not been accepted into a program and back to school adults. This gave me the experience of teaching larger groups the same subject, such as a teacher in a class.
