I believe a solid foundation is the key th success.

I began working with pre-k age group as a lead teacher for the four year olds room. After leaving that placement I started working with high school aged students as a substitute. Working with these young adults reinforced my belief that if a student does not have the basic skills learned early in their education, it is very difficult to go back and relearn them. My comments on tutoring Elementary Vocabulary : Certified K-6

I try to serve as a facilitator of learning, providing students with the knowledge and tools to solve problems and then encouraging students to solve them on their own. When students answer a problem incorrectly, I do not allow them to quit. I try to encourage them to figure out where they went wrong and to keep working at the problem until they get the correct answer, providing support and guidance where needed
