Since Mich of humanity's understanding is based on metaphor, description and its subtleties is a key part of any writing process, be it creative or instructional.My favorite form of writing is creative, however I also enjoy writing essays and other pieces based on fact. Many students struggle with relationships and well as their academics. Setting realistic and obtainable goals with the student is a key factor to success. Measuring and documenting progress allows student, teacher, and family to see a visual record of growth. A Little Bit About Me...

Young children learn best through things that have meaning to them. For example, I once tutored a child that had difficulty learning his multiplication tables, but was an avid NASCAR fan. I taught him the sums of multiplication problems by using the numbers on the drivers cars. He learned that the sum of 6x4, and 4x6 was equal to Jeff Gordon's number, which was 24. We did that with every car in NASCAR and people were amazed at how quickly he learned his multiplication tables. Multiplication tables became a breeze to him. I have used similar principals teaching phonics, and reading to young children. I also, have a history of being patient and understanding with elementary aged children.
