I began working as a Math Tutor in the Spring of 2012. I tutored three students through Club Z Tutoring, a publicly-funded tutoring organization. I also tutored a student in Pre-Calculus during the same time period. This student was introduced to me through Allison Neal, head of a private tutoring agency. The student's grades improved tremendously during the time that I tutored him. My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Statistics and have experience teaching undergraduates and graduates.

Experienced high school and middle school math tutor

When tutoring, I try to meet the students needs by utilizing methods of teaching which take into consideration the student's learning style. I explain concepts using visual representations as well as numerical/algebraic models. At the University of Massachusetts I exceled in Math and Science classes. I orginally planned on being a Math major but chenged course after taking an Environmental policy class. As a law student, I have been committed to the public interest. I have focused my attenion on environmental issues. Most recently I have been selected to conduct clases in math for students wanting to get their GED. I have worked in the public school sytem as an aide for special needs children in the middle school. At the middle schoool I was asked to do tutoring for students in math. I have taught business practices for a large financial services company. I taught computer topics at a community college. I have also taught wood carving to students from age 12 to 98.
