As a lifelong lover of literature and writing, I have taught students from fifth grade through junior level college literature and writing courses. My MA and PhD degrees have only further accelerated my desire to continue publishing academically in peer reviewed journals. These writing skills have led to my tutoring and editing the work of high school students and adults pursuing publications in other fields, such as business and the medical professions. I currently work with students in 3rd through 8th grade teaching music and spiritual gifts indentification classes. I have volunteered in classrooms of elementary age students during my college years. I worked with students one on one in these settings catching them up with the rest of their class on current projects. I am a true believer of rewards for excellence and this is how I teach. I believe every positive milestone should be marked and celebrated in some short way. I also am a firm believer in laying out the plan for overall growth with the student.
