As both a lead instructor and a supervisor, I have developed training programs that engage students, enhance their level of learning, all while benchmarking these programs against the standards set forth by the USAF,NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards applicable. Everyone has different learning styles, and in order to be successful in any training, tutoring or teaching you must first get to know the student. I also have experience traing English langauge learning students, as I was responsible for the training and supervision of the local nationals that worked for my shop in Afghanistan.

I use positive motivation with my students, explaining how subject matter being covered should relate to them and their future successes. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being. For example, when I encounter a senior who is not participating in class, I give them an employment application to fill out, explaining if they have difficulty completing it, they better join the class.
I graduated LSU and was commissioned as an officer in the US Air Force. I completed Transportation Officer courses on vehicle fleet management, commercial transportation, and staff logistics officer training related to airlift terminal management and operations. Math is different from most subjects in that the learning does not begin until the application, theories, and formulas are put to practice. I am an expert at conveying complex mathematical theories and formulas to students in a manner that makes Math enjoyable. My teaching style is to make learning Math interactive and very hands on. My students are not just being lectured to, but rather, we spend the majority of time solving problems. Once the problem is completed, I give the students the answers so they can refer back to the solution while completing the next problem.
