I have two years of experience teaching the English language to Taiwanese children and youth. I have also worked with at-risk children and youth in summer and after-school programs. In addition, I have one year of experience in curriculum development. In addition, I have earned a BA in political science (from a liberal arts college) and am currently working on a BS in accounting. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always valued the importance of a quality education and have encouraged friends with no college ambition to start working on their degrees. I am not, however, an elitist. I think every endeavor is a learning experience, but there are basic skills that are necessary to be successful, such as grammar, spelling, and professionalism. My experience in formal teaching is mostly in college-level public speaking and coaching Little League, but I am a proficient and tedious writer. I am also familiar with APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and BlueBook formatting styles. As a recreational scientist, as I like to call it, I have also learned a great deal about chemistry (mostly inorganic but some organic), biology, and anatomy and physiology.
