My comments on tutoring Language Arts : Language arts deals with the mechanics of grammar.

I taught English for a few years and really enjoyed teaching the students about the world of writing. I specialized in the four types of writing: Narrative, Descriptive, Expository, and Persuasive. I also strongly believe in developing strong grammar skills because they comprise well written wrting pieces. Once a student feels confident in his/her writing and speaking skills, the sky becomes the limit.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in an independent learning style, leading the student to discover the right answer; not just supplying it without them having to work. It is important to make sure that students know the background of whatever they are learning so they can grasp the concepts inside and out.
I am a student at the University of South Alabama studying to be an elementary school teacher. I will graduate in December of 2014. I have experience with lesson planning, therefore, I am familiar with the curriculum that is used by the public school system.
