A Little Bit About Me...

I believe any subject is simple – but sometimes you may need someone to show you the way. This is one of my top motivations to appreciate tutoring. In my opinion, people have different learning styles. Consequently, I utilize different methodologies to explain concepts and to resolve problems. My teaching philosophy revolves around the Chinese axiom “Give a man a fish and you have fed him once. Teach him how to fish and you have fed him for a lifetime ".
I’m a humble and dedicated tutor. I hold a BA in Economics and an MSc in Economics [Development Policy Analysis] both from Mekelle University. A Little Bit About Me...

After my training in graduate studies, I have come to believe in heuristics method of teaching. I believe the students are best served when we motivate, encourage and provide an environment so students can begin learning on their own unique style. Instead of showing them how to do it, I plan to first know how would they do it. I want to encourage them to develop their own style of learning while giving constant feedback along the process. My experience tutoring Math and Science is extensive. I started formally tutoring Chemistry in 1996 as a chemistry tutor. Throughout my Bachelor's and Master's degrees I tutored students independently. This helped me develop a wider range of approaches with which to help different students learn. I am well versed in many different mathematical disciplines. I am familiar with everything from arithmetic to graduate level mathematics and statistics. Ten years ago, at just 14, I knew I had a calling to help others reach full potential in all aspects of their lives, and did something about it.
