A tutor has a unique opportunity to quickly learn the teaching styles required for the individual student. While attending Centenary College, I ascertained the skills necessary to overcome any mathematical problem or situation that may come my way. I also was enrolled in the Mathematics Honor Society where I tutored students for the Math Praxis Exam for my entire senior year. By doing this, I learned how to best approach tutoring sessions in order to understand where the person is coming from and what skills are necessary to help them understand their questions.
