Some students learn better by hearing the concept. It is helpful for them to first have a conversation about what the subject matter is, and how it is used, and then proceed to the actual lessons. Other students excel when they see the concept first, and learn best through visual aids. As a current undergraduate chemistry and honors student at Arcadia University, I was recommended to become a tutor from several of my teachers my first year in college. I became a certified CRLA tutor and started tutoring my sophomore year of college; I've been tutoring ever since. A Little Bit About Me...

While attending Centenary College, I ascertained the skills necessary to overcome any mathematical problem or situation that may come my way. I also was enrolled in the Mathematics Honor Society where I tutored students for the Math Praxis Exam for my entire senior year. By doing this, I learned how to best approach tutoring sessions in order to understand where the person is coming from and what skills are necessary to help them understand their questions.
