I worked with a variety of ages from k-12. My most recent experience has been with students in elementary school. I have worked as a helping professional for most of the thirty-plus years since I graduated from Haverford College. A significant portion of my employment experience has involved service to school-age children in their role as students. I currently work as a cognitive rehabilitation therapist with people who have survived traumatic brain injuries. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from a Pennsylvania Systems of Higher Education college with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. The entire time I was enrolled I was a tutor in the Math Assistant Center as one of the top tutors. I was always told I should be a teacher but for now I am on a quest to get my PhD. I enjoy tutoring anywhere from beginners algebra in middle school all the way to college classes like Ordinary/Partial Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, and some physics.

I have experience tutoring both young children and young adults in private and public settings. I spent a school year teaching two students in grades 2 and 5. A Little Bit About Me...

Because of my experience in teaching my own children, I have discovered that no child is too young to learn. Often people will not consider an infant or toddler a "functioning human being" until the child can speak. This is so inaccurate! I taught one of my daughters to read at age four. My teaching style is to engage the student on a personal level through cheerful conversation and sharing of interests, then to assess learning styles, strengths, and challenges.
