I find my utmost happiness in turning on the common "light-bulb" on top of my students' heads. Their understanding of the subject is my key objective. When I first came to teaching in 1997, my teaching philosophy was based on 4 essential principles. First, I try to care for every student as if they were my sons and daughters at some times. More About This Tutor...

I believe that there are no boring subjects, only boring teachers. I teach so others may learn to find interest. My heart races when I help someone learn. We are always learning, and I will always be a student. I am able to relate to people on that level, regardless of subject level. No one is born knowing this stuff, we learn through life. To teach is to learn. It must be nice to teach to teach. This is my goal.
As an undergraduate I tutored in the help center of WVSU. My last semester I had to choose between Biology and Chemistry, due to a schedule conflict, and I chose Chemistry. After graduating, I worked toward my PhD at Montana State University for two years. I worked my way through teaching labs, and completed 19 credit hours, before I had to move home for family reasons. I also worked in the help center during the day and held weekly study groups in the evenings.
