A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience tutoring Russian and mathematics to students of all ages. I am young and can relate very well to younger students, but I have alot of experience with adults as well. I was classicly trained in opera style singing since I was a child. I immigrated to the United States in 2008, and have been tutoring students in math and Russian on and off for the last 2 years. My comments on tutoring Vocals : I have five years of choir and solo vocal experience, my director has a masters and doctorate in vocal music, and music theory. And I was his teachers assistant for three years, learning directly from him.

I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.
