I have spent a semester teaching anatomy to Lansing Community College students. I learned from this experince how to explain anatomy, and how everything relates to each other. I use quzies to test the knowledge, and pictures to show the inerworkings of the human body. I have worked with and helped students in the area of basic math. I have worked with students in small groups, one-on-one, and online through study material.

My comments on tutoring Anatomy : I headed up study sessions for students taking this class

Most of my adult life has been dedicated to helping people strive for and achieve personal and academic success. I have worked in the academic field for approximately 8 years; tutoring at a community college level for 4 years and scoring MEAP tests for 4 years. In addition, I have provided on the job training for individuals needing extra help. At the community college level I headed up study groups for Science classes, creating study guides and practice quizzes. I also individually tutored students in English and English as a Second Language. On the job site I implemented ways for the employee to perform his or her job duties using charts, visual cues and task lists. Currently I am tutoring Korean students in conversational English via the internet and e-books.

I have earned a bachelors degree in Dietetics, which included a rigorous science and research based curriculum, as well as ways to improve teaching and counseling techniques. Middle School Phys. Ed. 20 years Adult Ecucation. Subjects taught, American Government, U. S. History, Health Issues. I currently hold a Continuing Certificate from Mich. granted in 1978, and a Professional Certificate from Florida. I retired from Michigan Public Schools in 2006 with a pension, which includes health insurance. I then relocated in Phoenix, Arizona where I taught Fourth Grade for two years.
