A Little Bit About Me...

I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. In order for the students to learn, the teacher needs to be passionate about the students as well as the subject that is being taught. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Bar Ilan University in Israel with a B.Sc. in Chemistry. The program has a strong emphasis on organic chemistry and synthesis. Throughout my schooling, I frequently tutored junior student who were struggling or needed help preparing for tests. I studied Hebrew for eight years in grade school. I continued taking advanced Hebrew Language courses in university in Israel while simultaneously attending chemistry-related lectures given exclusively in Hebrew. I have many Israeli friends with whom I converse fluently.
I believe that when students are explained the fundamentals of a given subject in a clear, concise manner, they are given the tools with which to succeed. This approach eliminates the necessity for long, tedious memorization. The subject becomes fun and enlightening.
