My comments on tutoring Violin : I have played for eleven years and taken private lessons.

I graduated from Presbyterian College with a double degree in biology and psychology and a minor in chemistry. Many of the courses I completed in biology were in the natural sciences such as paleontology, biogeography, and botany, which I flourished in. I also took organic chemistry I and II, biochemistry, and genetics, which I am good at as well. I believe in good classroom management and organized lesson plans. I set appropriate boundaries and expect the students to follow the rules that are set before them. That being said I try to make the learning as fun as possible but organized. I also try to bring in anything that they are interested in to make them enjoy the subject they are learning. I was home-schooled until the sixth grade with my three brothers. I completed junior high at a private school and then graduated Salutatorian from a public high school. My parents operated a small day care that I worked in with school age children completing homework assignments. I have also worked in a Day Care as a caregiver for small children. Volunteering at a Family Literacy program and doing Student Practicums for three years followed by a semester of Student Teaching have all prepared me to teach children from all backgrounds with different educational and emotional needs.
