A Little Bit About Me...

I worked at Elohim Center tutoring the kids at an after school homework center in Hartsville, SC. I also worked at Hartsville School of Performing Arts for a short time period. However I provided assistance to the teachers and mentored the children that had potential, but didn't have the extra push in life to motivate them to be more. I worked at Billie Hardee Home for Boys in Darlington, SC as a volunteer I provided teen age boys the assistance in tutoring them with math, reading, and science. I have earned a BA in Criminology and an Associates in Sociology. In 2009 I graduated with a BS in Statistics from Virginia Tech. I also received a minor in Business. Before recently moving to Charlotte, NC I worked as a contracted consultant for a company called Mountaineer Capital LLP in Charleston, WV. I feel this experience along with extensive knowledge of math and sciences makes me capable of teaching others.
I believe that my teaching style is very hands on and easy to follow. I have the ability of simplifying statistical and mathematical procedures into easier, more understandable terms. I am very patient and this allows me to better adapt to a child's specific learning needs and education level. My best teachers were the one's that made me feel comfortable asking questions and admitting when I do not fully understand a concept.
