I worked as an Instructional assistant for 12 years working In 3 different Deaf schools in NYC. Also, I worked as a "residential Advisor at NCSD briefly. For over 10 years working as an Outreach Specialist for American Deaf Exposition, I travelled nationwide educating the public about resources that were available to the general public. I am currently teaching Deaf Culture/ASL to many government agencies. I also tutor those who are in need of passing their ASL courses or preparing for their profiency skill exams.

In 2002 I graduated with a degree in biotechnology. During the last semester of school, I was a substitute teacher, where I learned a lot about children and different teaching styles. After graduation, I pursued a career as a chemist, but I always maintained a second part-time job teaching, in some fashion. Usually, that teaching involved a pool. I have been a swimming lesson instructor for 10 years and have been a YMCA swim coach for 3 seasons, coaching over 200 children per year.
