My comments on tutoring Ballet : I am also trained in contemporary, contemporary ballet, and lyrical.

I have attended UNC School of the Arts for 7 1/2 Years studying modern/contemporary dance. I have also been trained in ballet, jazz, and have experience doing yoga, and Pilates. I am reliable, and very determined to teach those who are willing to be taught. I have done performances, and taught in New York, Winston-Salem, and Virginia.
My teacher style is a mixture of ballet, contemporary, and jazz fusion.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a dance teacher in both a private SACS accredited school and public school for a total of 20 years. I have taught all ages, as I am certified K-12. In my tenure as an electives teacher, I have been required to teach content skills in both math and reading. Most recently, I was a lead teacher for a preschool where I prepared students to enter kindergarten. I have excellent written and verbal skills, which along with my passion for teaching combine to make me a great tutor! I have had great success working with ADD and ADHD students.
I strongly believe in differentiated learning. Each student, with the help of a qualified educator, should discover which learning style (or combination of styles) works best for them. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art and Design and have used my degree in the fields of Photography and Graphic Design. Besides my formal education, I have helped many people while working for Disabled Student Services at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. I helped my blind boss understand the needs of her deaf students. I helped a disabled boy with Algebra and I helped my mom with her math when she went back to college.
