I currently have a BA in Liberal Studies (Education) from Cal-State Northridge. I have always been passionate about books, learning, and reading. I started tutoring students when I was in the 3rd grade, when my teacher sent me to the lower grades to help kids who were struggling in reading. Working as a Library Technician at my children's elementary school for six years renewed the sense of excitement about education I recalled from my own elementary school experience. It truly depends on the student and the subject. I try to adapt my teaching style to what the student needs. If one approach is not working, then we can work together to find an approach that does.
