A Little Bit About Me...

Recognizing that each person has his/her own learning style, I emphasize "application" of material learned. I do this primarily by providing examples of information taught and require my students to do the same. My approach to teaching is to create a friendly environment with positive expectations to enhance the learning experience.
Having been devoted to the welfare of children and families and valuing education highly throughout my life, I find tutoring a satisfying occupation. After vounteering my services for many years, I attained formal degrees in education, psychology, and counseling, with very high GPAs. I taught psychology and sociology for several years and have also tutored K-college individually and in groups for many years.

I find it important to identify the needs of each student and develop a customized tutoring strategy. Providing several examples allows the student to convert the information in the most useful manner. I worked at Majesty Christian Academy for two years. During tha time I was a Teacher's Assistant. I assisted lead teacher with student instruction. I also supervised children and were responsible for taking care of children. I was offered a position and taught a computer course to elementary students. I have a Bachelors Degree from Old Dominion University in Education. I enjoy working with children, I prefer working with elementary students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Accounting and BS in Chemistry, which has enabled me to gain knowledge in many areas of math and science. I have taught at the high school level for three years, which included courses in Chemistry and Physics. I have also performed private tutoring for college students.
