I am graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Tennessee Technological University of Cookeville, TN. I transferred from a 2 year community college in Harriman, TN known as Roane State Community College. I tutored before but of course I wasn't paid for it because it was at my old elementary school. I helped children from ages 8-13 which I was only 11 or 12 at the time. I maybe young to tutor children and maybe I should wait until I'm 18 but, I love helping children with their homework and watch them accomplish the subject.

When I was in elementary school I would help my mother with daycare at our home. I would teach the children new concepts and play with them. During high school I joined the pathfinder club and taught some of the younger children. During college, I tutored elementary children in reading and in math and would make interventions for them. I graduated from Southern Adventist University December 2018 with a bachelors in elementary education. I have spent time substitute teaching in elementary classrooms, working as a behavior teachers assistant, and working at summer camps.
I love making lessons fun and interactive for children. If a children does not understand a concept one way I find other ways to explain it.

After graduating from MTSU, I went to Prague, Czech Republic to train and work as a teacher of English as a foreign language. I secured a position at Bell School International. Here I taught mostly adult students but I also had a few high school classes. I found it was more satisfying teaching the younger students and so I looked for work at the elementary level. At Horackova Elementary, I taught 6th to 9th grade English. I had a great rapport with all the students and enjoyed planning for the array of levels and age groups. However, I was the only teacher there who spoke English and felt alienated from the school. As a result, I made the difficult decision to return to the United States.

Due to family issues, I dropped out at in the 9th grade but due to extensive reading most of my life on many subjects, and being gifted intellectually, thank God, I was enrolled in college at the age of 16.
