GRE is one of my top subjects!

I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. My specialty quickly became preparation for standardized tests as well as calculus because I have a unique ability to discover how each student learns and tailor the lessons to their needs. I can quickly find where the knowledge gaps exist for each student and fill in those gaps, in order to create a complete understanding of the topic, not just get them to memorize answers.
My teaching style varies for each student, I try to tailor the work to how the student learns.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Kentucky University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience in tutoring has shown me that everyone learns differently. Some students benefit from closely studying the textbook in a course, whereas others became easily overwhelmed reading large amounts of text and instead required a more interactive learning atmosphere based on discourse. I learned to identify a student's learning style and adapt my strategies to match that style. In general, I realized it was important to emphasize the main ideas of course material. A common struggle for many students is extracting central principles amidst several fine details. Teaching students strategies for identifying main points was a frequent goal of my tutoring sessions with students.
