My teaching style purposefully reflects the great teachers I have had. While I consider my subject and field of study greatly important, I realize that all work and no play kills desire. A subject, especially English, has to come alive; students have to relate. Of course grammar is always the hard part to "dress up," but that's the fun of teaching. I have enjoyed substitute teaching since 1991; it was a part- time occupation that worked well as I re-entered the college scene in order to advance my AA degree to a BA in Political Science. As an administrator of a school I oversaw the education of children from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. I have eight years experience teaching algebra I, five years teaching business math. I have eleven years experience teaching English grammar from third grade through twelfth grade. I have taught fourth grade for three years, fifth grade for three years and sixth grade for two years.
