I hold two degrees, a B.A. in Architecture which I achieved immediately following high school and a B.S. in Civil Engineering that I earned 20 years later. In the years between degrees I worked mainly in the construction industry providing blueprints for houses and various concrete structures. Going back to school after 20 years was difficult in that I had to re-teach myself some of the basic math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus) that I had forgotten because it is used to solve many advanced engineering problems. **Fun, Creative Tutor Specializing in Math**

With a lot of subjects, especially math and science, students become discouraged because the content seems so useless. They are much more interested in their everyday lives than things like the Pythagorean Theorem. I try to break that barrier - to help students see how the things they learn in school can help them solve problems in the real world. I do this by making lessons creative, interesting and fun.

Math, Science & Microsoft Excel tutor

I have two technical-college degrees, I worked my way through both of them being a math tutor, and have used math and science in some way in every job I've ever held. As for my "teaching style", as everyone knows, it helps enormously just to have another person to work with, ask questions of, and generally talk things through.
