Italian tutoring from Italian major. Have fun with it!

My experience with Italian dates back to Jan 2009 when I began my two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I spent those two years communicating with hundreds of Italians each week. I am currently studying Italian at BYU with plans to graduate next year. I have passed all basic Italian grammar classes with a grade of at least A-.
Learning a language allows for a lot of flexibility in terms of curriculum. Students can talk, write, or read about anything as long as it helps them develop their language skills. I try to make the experience as fun as possible, but the teaching won't matter if some goals aren't established to work for. With certain objectives in mind for tutoring sessions, or larger scale goals, the student can be held accountable and also see the progress he or she is making.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching Italian for four years in Seattle. I have been teaching large groups of students, semi-private and private classes.
After graduation I received a masters degree in Philosophy at Alma Mater Studiorum University in Bologna with a thesis on theological history in 2004. Within the past four years, I have taught Italian at elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels to groups and individuals. My approach combines practical conversational skills with fundamental grammar studies. I strongly believes that learning a language should be fun and challenging.
