A Little Bit About Me...

As a doctor of Biomathematics, I have a deep passion for mathematics and applied mathematics. From my undergraduate days as a math major at Columbia University, to the intensive research of my doctoral program, I have developed a finely tuned understanding of mathematics and the applications thereof. I have taught college courses both independently and as an assistant for 9 years, and am very comfortable teaching any level of mathematics. I enjoy one-on-one work, and find this to be the best learning environment for many students. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style involves being open and relatable while keeping he conversation related to learning and the subjects of importance. I feel like students respond best when they are in a positive work environment and are pushed to be their best. This involves teaching through the Socratic method, of forcing individuals to answer their own questions. I believe that tutors and teachers should be providing students with the tools and skills they need to be productive students instead of giving away answers.
