My comments on tutoring Entrance Exams : I am a College Professor (History, Philosophy, Ethics, English) with many years of tutoring experience. I have taught several test-preparation courses. Having taught adults with no background in English, to 8th grade girls that had many different teachers, I have realized that every student learns in a unique way. Some people need to see the material, others need to write it out for themselves, and some need to hear the material in order to retain it. I usually try several different approaches until I see a positive response from the student.
