Kind and patient tutor for math, science & computing.

Patient, relaxed, friendly. Able to translate concepts into different scenarios in order to help the student grasp the concept.
Although not degreed in math, science or computers, they were my favorite subjects. More importantly, I am gifted in communicating concepts into terms my students understand and grasp. Repetition doesn't equate to learning, it's a component, it's a way to practice, but it is not how the mind grasps the concept. My comments on tutoring Logic : Rec'd "A" in Basic course

My method of tutoring is to work with students where they are and add to their skills, to accomplish the final outcome, preferably an "A" or "B." Some students are visual learners and some are informational learners, or some students combine the two. The potential I see in students is what I try to bring out and have them realize they are capable of going a step further, to reach their goal. The importance of education and the students' continuance of same cannot be stressed enough.

My teaching style is very laid back. I know that every student learns differently and I try to accommodate that. When I am working with someone individually, it is easy to see if I need to backtrack and explain a concept another way. In a classroom setting it is sometimes a little more difficult to do this; However, I still want to be my best and for the students to be their best, as this is the only way for them to meet their learning potential. The one thing that I observed about the learning process, is that a person quickly grasps a concept if he/she is interested, or the topic is thoughtful and challenges the wit of a person and lastly, a person is very comfortable in learning through his/her friends. Nobody is stupid not to grasp a concept. It is the methodology, technique and feeling of comfort and interest, that is required. Hence I try to be affable and was more involved. A picturization or a real life example is more likely to fit in a person's mind. I used this technique and was very successful.
