please feel free to write me so i can help kids learn.

I have plenty that i've been tought so maybe using some of them could help the students understand better.
I am only 19 and i graduated class of 2011. I've had a lot of help when i was in school so i know it can be stressful and tough but i found it a lot easier when i got help from people. Kids may be shy or maybe they just find the work is to hard and there scared to get help but i'm easy and outgoing i don't force kids to do there work. It takes time for them to understand how to work things out how to talk to teachers.

Become a star, through dedication and desire to succeed!!

I love interacting with my students and finding out what drives them and what they feel hinders their success. I choose activities that make learning fun while making the information relevant and easy to understand. I also strive to build up a student's academic confidence. I believe all students can be successful in anything they put their mind to, sometimes it may take longer for the light bulb moment but I am willing to do anything I can to ensure they reach the point where they fully understand what they are learning and can apply their knowledge not just recite it.
I have taught in both suburban schools at the high school level and urban schools at the elementary/middle school level. While teaching I previously have tutored students. Hands-on, smiles-on!

I am very laid back and flexible. While I might be calm I only have 3 rules, 1. Be respectful, 2. the words "I can't" are not allowed :), and 3. have fun! I tend to create games based on the skills that are being taught and I'm not into lecturing, my approach is very hands. Learning can be fun!
Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! I love teaching anyone who is willing to learn! I also teach children with learning disabilities and special needs.

My goal is to help your child achieve success. I explain real-life applications of the subject (i.e., metric system--repair of foreign cars.) I encourage questions and dialogue. I use praise when warranted but am firm on deadlines and honesty. Aware of attention span, I take appropriate breaks or switch to another subject. I remind him to read and follow directions and to check his work over before he hands it in. I believe that in this fast-paced technical age your child needs the best chance possible to compete successfully. I have found that even with one exposure, a good educator can have a huge positive impact upon a student's confidence and comprehension. It is very gratifying to both student and teacher when this occurs.

My passion is teaching, it always has been. If I could describe my teaching style in one word, it would be caring. Children need to be cared for and know that they can trust you as their teacher. Once that trust is formed, they will be more apt to succeed. My experience teaching four and five year old Pre-K students has made me stop and appreciate the little things about education. At that age, they are so inquisitive about everything and I found myself wanting to teach them about everything!
Upon graduating from Radford University in Virginia, I accepted a position teaching Pre-Kindergarten at Cheshire Country Day School, located in Milldale, CT. I view teaching as an opportunity to inspire and empower. As a teacher, one primary goal is to enhance student learning as a transformative experience. Ideally, I want students to feel personally changed and motivated. Learning is most likely to occur and be most effective when students are personally engaged with the material and perceive the subject matter to be directly relevant to their own lives. A student learns better when the approach most closely matches their learning style. Understanding the diversity of learning styles, abilities, and student experiences is imperative to enhancing this engagement. Learning is a complex process that is individual. As a teacher, I am attentive to this and work to be flexible, adapting my approaches according to the needs of learners.

I love working and communicating with children. Every child that I have worked with is very different, and each child presents a unique challenge for me to overcome. Allowing the child to experience and discover the new concept usually works the best. I have also found that breaking the new concept down into steps works well. Each step of the education process I try to make as fun as possible for the child. My goal for each child is that they accomplish what is possible for them. Through encouragement, hard work, and parental support, I have seen great success in my students. As a teacher, friend, and tutor, I have found that continuing my education and experience is one of the best ways to help other children.
