I have just finished junior year of high school and will be a senior this fall. Throughout my life I have always been especially good at math. I never fail to get an A in math every year. In 10th grade I decided to skip Pre-Calculus from Algebra 2 to AP Calculus BC when I enter 11th grade. Interestingly, I still found AP Calculus BC to be relatively easy. I am the vice president of a tutor club at La Costa Canyon High School. I teach students after school all subjects. I also tutored students outside of school. Persistent and patience with the student, foundation first for the material. . Especially with math, higher concepts won't be "grasped" unless the lower ones are mastered. Also, I find that doing any math at all for most people improves grasps on new concepts, so I'm never afraid to take a step backward if it means 2 or 3 steps forward. I also teach and encourage liberal use of Logic in problem solving. All of math is simply problem solving, and teaching good thought processes through meta-cognition and careful phrasing goes a long way.
