I go to their house the agreed day and check what he/she knows about the subject to study. I assign to them different exercises like a pre-test. Every problem that they make wrong indicates to me that I need to explain that class. I don't go ahead until the student understands completely. I want to help students be the best they can be.

I like working one-on-one with students to find out where they are struggling. I am very patient and willing to work on any particular part until they get it right. I always encourage people to try their best. I can relate to strugglers very easily because I used to struggle with math. Along came a great teacher and then math became easy for me. I can be a fun teacher at times but when it comes down to it, I can be serious. I want to make math fun for other people.

To begin, I have always loved science and working with numbers. I'm very patient when trying to explain a topic to someone. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that too many students find math challenging because of the way they are taught. Too many teachers have made it not fun and frustrating and are unwilling to explain the "whys", which can make a big difference to a child. This may be due to lack of understanding on the teacher's part, but I believe strongly that a solid education, especially in all areas of math, will help with problem solving and many other "real life" situations that can arise. Because many students learn visually, I've always tried to incorporate varying levels of geometry in my lessons.
