Spanish is one of my top subjects!

I have been a tutor for over four years now. I work with all ages, at Sullivan Learning Company I work with K-8th, at Clovis High School I worked with high school students and I have done Spanish tutoring on my own with adults. I also teach Sunday school so I am accustomed of working with both individuals and big groups.

My comments on tutoring Spanish : Took 6 years of Spanish from grades 7-12

My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. In addition, the subject that I am teaching also affects my style and some 'tools' that I learned as a youngster and a teacher are also implemented frequently.
I was trained to be a teacher at CSU-Fresno, where I graduated in May, 1999. I substituted for 3 consecutive years in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera Unified School districts at grade levels 3-12. I received my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from the American Public University system in May, 2011, and graduated with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am currently trying to obtain my credential and hope to be an Athletic Director one day.

Any child can learn a foreign language (FL). Math, science, literature, art, in fact, any subject, all use their own specific jargon. It is essential to not only make FL learning relevant, but also fun and interesting. In today's global, multi-cultural environment, and with the Internet linking us to anyone, anywhere instantly, American children need to have a solid foundation in at least one FL. Full immersion is the best way to acquire FL.
