Balance is the Key to Life

I was trained to be a teacher at CSU-Fresno, where I graduated in May, 1999. I substituted for 3 consecutive years in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera Unified School districts at grade levels 3-12. I received my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from the American Public University system in May, 2011, and graduated with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am currently trying to obtain my credential and hope to be an Athletic Director one day.
My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. In addition, the subject that I am teaching also affects my style and some 'tools' that I learned as a youngster and a teacher are also implemented frequently.

A Little Bit About Me...

As long as I could remember academics have come quite easily to me, from elementary school to current classes in college. Prior to this year I've only helped out my sister extensively as she has had problems understanding most teacher's methods. I was a math tutor at "Math Crazy" for about 2 years. It's located near Clovis West High School in Fresno on Teague and Milbrook. The highest math class I tutored was Pre-Calculus. I got a 4 on my AP Calculus Exam, and currently I am enrolled in Math 81 (Differential Equations and Linear Algebra) at California State University-Fresno, last math class for my Civil Engineering major.
