A Little Bit About Me...

I Love to work with children to transfer knowledge and help them learn difficult to understand concepts. Currently, I volunteer 3 hours every Sunday to teach 6th through 9th graders. We start with a lesson (eg. ratio, percent, geometry, algebra, or probability), then move to a quiz or test. Finally, we end with a Math Jeapordy game or a Math Millionare Game. Students are excited to do the Jeopardy and win a prize. I believe learning should be fun and we use a lot of materials from the internet. We use a lot of Math games to make the class filled with fun and hands-on-activities.

I can teach a student multiple ways to do the same problem, and then they can decide which way works best for them, and use the other ways to make sure they get the correct answer. During my time at the Rochester Institute of Technology, I was a student grader while working towards my B.S. in Computational Mathematics. I obtained my degree with Highest Honors, and an overall GPA of 3.88. I graded mostly college algebra and early calculus.
