CPA with Post Secondary Instructional experience.

I am a CPA and have forty years experience in a business environment. My background is a strong, diversified as I have experience in Public Accounting, Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting and Nor-for-Profit organizations. I have taught at the collegiate level as a full time instructor and currently as an adjunct faculty member.
My teaching style for accounting is to encourage the student to visualize the "real world" transaction and relate it to accounting. Once this is done the accounting becomes a part of the transaction.

During my time as a tutor and my Student Teaching experience through SUNY Geneseo, I felt I could help any student at any time. I feel like I can relate to students and can help them learn. I believe any student can learn well by relating the material they learn in school to their everyday lives and I think i can help them make these connections. I try to work at a pace that is comfortable for the student and also meets the academic requirements for their program. I have a lot of patience and encourage students to try even when they are not familiar or comfortable with a subject. The first step is always the hardest.
